UPDATE July 3
- SUMMER CAMP WAS A SUCCESS!!! Once again, our week at Camp Geiger was outstanding. Troop 11 was honored by being voted the "Sharpest Unit" by the staff. It was fun to have 11 first year campers with us this year! We are proud to welcome one new Honorary Warrior and two Braves to the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Advancing tribesmen include six new Hardway Warriors, three Tom Tom Beaters, and six Runners..
- We were excited to see BRIAN! It was good to see Brian when he welcomed us back from summer camp. He is home and doing well. Please try to keep in touch.
- I've added a few more summer camp pictures to the "Photo Gallery." We are planning a "Troop 11 Back-To-School Dinner" in August. I have created a slide show with hundreds of pictures to share that night. I'll mail scouts a newsletter, partial merit badge information, and a dinner reservation in late July.
- Congratulations to our newest Eagle Scout Rob V.! We're proud of you! There are several more young men who are nearing completion.
- We have reserved three sailing ships for the Florida Sea Base Coral Reef Adventure. Dates are December 25, 2009-January 1, 2010. We are counting the days!
- Check out the "Calendar and Events" for more Troop 11 activities for the year and beyond. Start thinking about ideas for campouts, activities, and a road trip for 2009-10. Scouts will decide in the first few meetings in August.

Our Troop 11
Welcome to BSA Troop 11 from First Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Missouri! Our unit is over twenty years old this year and going strong. We use this site to keep our members up-to-date with all of the happenings of our troop as well as a way for you, our parents to share information with your friends and family. We hope you'll use and enjoy features such as the online calendar and photo gallery. Suggestions and comments on this site are always welcome. Thanks!
About Us
Our troop participates in a wide variety of activities like rappelling, first aid, camping, biking, hiking, rifle, archery, and shotgun shooting, fishing, wilderness survival, canoeing, swimming & boating, water & snow skiing, monthly camping, road trips to major cities in different states, and touring historic sites, just to name a few. We are also active in one of the top ten summer camp programs in the nation, Camp Geiger, and the outstanding Scout honor society, The Tribe of Mic-O-Say. We have regular troop meetings every Monday night from 7:00-8:30. At these meetings, we work on merit badges and rank advancement. All Scouts have the opportunity to run for leadership positions and have the power to decide which activities we perform. We know you are up to the challenge!
